BR BHome Based Business/B P I have chatted with various people over the years and I noticed patterns in terms of similar obstacles to overcome in developing a residual income in a bhome based business/b. Previously, a group of us had connected on line at a forum called Our Network Home. It has not existed for a few years now and too bad as it was a great place to invest a few minutes each day, learn and grow, read some posts and comment back. However, for some of us that have been around the forum for a while, we had a love/dislike relationship with it as some would question the direction the forum was taking and why do we need all this personal growth stuff. For example, at times I would grow impatient and I just wanted my coach to cut to the chase and tell me how to build a home based business. P Why would anybody dislike coming to a forum and reading material that helped us ask ourselves questions about leadership, relationships, partnerships etc? The product testimonies were great and so were the celebrations of success of building a residual income in a bhome based business/b. Sometimes we shared bad news like in our families. What was it that pushed those buttons during those periods? P For years I read numerous self-help materials. I thought I understood the theory. However, I truly didn?t think I needed it. I knew better. In fact I can remember many times thinking I could have delivered the material more effectively myself. I had a lot to learn back then and still do. Everyday is a journey, not a destination in building my home based business. P I didn?t want to hear about all the personal growth I needed to do as I was just focused on getting the job done of creating a residual income in a Bhome based business/B. I believe everybody can relate. Just show me how and get out of my way. You know what though, I know many people in this world that have accumulated great wealth but the people that know them don?t respect them. I know several people like that in this very industry. I once knew a man that made 20K every month and those that got to know him really didn?t even like to be around him and certainly had no respect for him. That was at the beginning of my career and it confused me as to what was really important and why for building a home based business. He had what I wanted, success, but in reality he was quite poor. P A team needs everybody, new and old, successful and not yet successful. It doesn?t matter that I or others didn?t have a $10,000 a month residual income in a home based business. Everyone is inter-dependent upon each other. Everybody must learn this important lesson and will one way or the other. We ALL need each other! P Leaders can be well remunerated in ABC Company, however, who still want to become leaders. This is where our self-image can hit a wall and you know it. Some folks cannot yet see themselves as that leader on stage. This takes time for some people. Others want it so bad and are willing to work for it. But, are you willing to invest the time and dedication to be one? P Real leaders, those that are happy and successful at creating a healthy residual income in their home based business, have earned many people?s respect. That?s the Circle of Influence deal we are all working on. It really hurts to work through all those names and get rejected doesn?t it? Let?s ask ourselves a question shall we? How long does it take us to give our own respect to someone? 1 hour, 3 hours, 10? What is it that makes us respect another person? Is it really just a question of how much they earn? P Real leadership is given, never taken and one achieves it through failing often enough to learn the lessons. Real leadership, like respect, is earned. Those that have obtained a certain measure of a residual income are not always one to be admired or respected. So what is the answer to all of this? P Habits!!! Success habits come hard - don?t they? How many leads do we have to call before it becomes second nature and we are good at? How many friends and family have to turn us down until our resolve is so strong that we can exclaim Next! How many times do we have to do that self-examination of our beliefs before we change those that are not working? How long does it take us to really learn that it doesn?t hurt us to let another help us be better? P Successful habits can build a long term sustainable residual income and a solid Bhome based business/B. P When we do the things that we don?t feel like doing, such as writing an article tonight or are afraid of doing and just do them anyhow we develop our character and leadership abilities. We invest time in people as we are in the people business, if we truly want a successful home based business. Mediocre people don?t. Leaders do. Leaders fail a whole lot on their path to earning respect and becoming successful. P True leaders that deserve respect have failed so much that they have learned about humility. They have learned how to be inter-dependent on others at helping each other in their respective home based business. Ever met an arrogant leader? In reality no, because real leaders are not arrogant. They have learned how to be servants, one day at a time, by habit. P During my journey for the past 10 years in this home based business industry, I have met many leaders. It is always a wise thing to know your prospect in any kind of selling venture. I will try and keep things as simple as I can but it will take some effort on your part to understand the psychology behind what we are doing to really create a long term residual income using this particular strategy. P You can be very confident in your knowledge that for the most part Networking professionals are quite frustrated because of the poor success rates in developing a residual income in their own Networks. Most are in a treadmill scenario and constantly in need of replacing those that quit their home based business venture. Very few Networks are growing and very few companies can demonstrate a successful track record domestically after their first 3 years of initial growth. P Seasoned Networkers usually only get approached by two kinds of people. Other seasoned Networkers or the aggressive ?sales type? of person. We don?t normally pay much attention to these ?drivers? as they do not build relationships and have little long term success unless they change their focus of building a home based business. Seasoned Networkers approach others with integrity and honesty and avoid hype and sales ?techniques? per se. They will normally state their purpose for calling quickly and are normally very respectful. They are interested to see if you keep your options open. P I have learned that if you are open about sharing ideas, strategies and tips etc., on how to create a long term residual income, then more times than not, people are open to having a conversation. They fully understand that quality people take their time and want to get to know a person. People buy who we are before they buy what we have. The fortune is in the follow up! Veterans are not going to jump into something without a ton of research. Our objective is to fill our funnels with many of these kinds of people and stay in touch regularly building our relationship and getting to know them and what their needs are. P Most Newcomers are going to think to themselves ?Why would a seasoned veteran get involved with me in my home based business?? This is how Newcomers think and the main reason so very few will do this activity unless they are properly trained and confident in the system as they work towards building a residual income. P This is where you will stand out from the crowd because you are using professional techniques that normally only the seasoned veterans know in terms of developing a home based business. We must never try to ?fake it until we make it? and be something we are not. This will just not work and is wrong anyhow. A true professional doesn?t really care about where a person is at in their progress; they care about the character of the person in reality. Newcomers can be very comfortable with the fact that they are new and that they rely on the system, tools and coaching of their support team to handle the more in-depth process with these kinds of veterans. Our job is simply to meet people, get to know them and see if they are the kind of person that we wish to work with and be friends with. Over time, perhaps a few will want to venture into our home based business and build a residual income. P Veterans will have preconceived ideas about ABC Company and because of the evolution of our industry this may create some objections initially. Don?t be afraid of objections as it gives us a chance for further communication and understanding. Our job is to share the facts because the facts are good enough. This is why so many veterans have joined the company over the past few years. People just like all of us who are building a peaceful residual income. P Patience is the key while people learn the facts and see how the big picture relates to their needs. P Attracting leaders like this comes down to your people handling skills in reality. Can you meet people and become friends? Professional Networkers will never turn down a chance to get to know another Networker from another home based business. Why would they? Some of the nicest people you will ever meet are experienced Networkers. That goes against everything we are doing. So why be afraid to call one? This is really self-image stuff going on here. Why would anybody lack the confidence to meet nice people and get to know each other and even help each other out in their respective home based business? P The real dream of every Networker is to build a peaceful residual income! That is what they have been working their home based business towards. The fortune is in the follow up and your ability to build a solid relationship. This means showing respect, listening for understanding, not reacting and just being in service. If you made 25 new friends of professional Networkers and stay in touch you will attract some into your home based business over time. It?s already happening all over. P Then there is the personal growth material and the daily success habits we have at our home based business team. Veteran Networkers are much more aware than the average person just how critical this is for people in a Network if they want to build a successful residual income. The track record of Networks that supplied proper and effective personal growth material regularly is much better than those that haven?t. Veterans are quite aware of this as well as the power of a team and its accountability factor like in local groups. P Our home based business team demonstrates the same attributes of a local group! Your sincerity and ability to edify the culture of our team enthusiastically will help many of those you speak with become curious and check it out. When they do they will begin to see the bigger overall vision and where our team is going and how we plan to get there. Veterans will understand that they can plug people into an already existing place for the empowerment material and help their friends and contacts develop their own leadership skills.
